KATHMANDU – After the grand success of Miss India Worldwide Nepal Pageant last year, Nepalese Council is gearing up to give yet another world-class pageantry , the first ever Little Miss World Nepal Pageant 2011. Preparations are in full swing for the contest that’s slated for August 20, 2011. The event, dubbed as a beauty and talent festival for children, is open to girls of Nepali origin in the 9-13 age group.

Sharing his views on bringing yet another pageant in Nepal, The Executive Director of Nepalese Council and National Director of Little Miss World, Deependra Ratna Shakya said, “We want to provide a platform for young talents. Yes, the local scene is infested with XYZ beauty pageants, that are a dime a dozen, but we are here to break the stereotype.” The title holder will get to compete with contestants from more than 45 countries in the 11th Little Miss World to be held in Sunny Antalya, Turkey on October 8 of this year.
